Jaw-Dropping Designs from Viktor & Rolf's Spring 2010 Collection

I can barely talk ... or type. This collection is completely unbelievable, and incredibly inspiring for a young-student-wannabe-conceptual-fashion-designer [me]. I just want to be alone and weep silently on my pillow in the glory of what I see in Viktor & Rolf's Spring 2010 collection. Grab the tissues, and enjoy:

Sculptural And Textural Designs from Amaya Arzuaga A/W 2009

This collection makes me feel. There's a deepness and a soft motion that I understand and don't understand all at the same time. I like how it makes me feel.

[via highsnobette] With a strong emphasis on sculpture and texture contrasts, the Amaya Arzuaga Autumn/Winter 2009 collection exemplifies urban sophistication, and has made her one of my favorites. Loving the use of sequin leggings!

CCA Fashion Professor Parisa All Gaga-ed Up To Teach

Meet one of CCA's Fashion Design professors, Parisa Parnian. She wore this amazing 1960's vintage dress to class today. This whole look is pure gaganess. And I love the adorable details [see below] that harmoniously come together to create a pleasant overall visual experience. Hopefully there's more gaganess to come from Parisa!

Gaga for Hand Dyded Slips at the Alameda Flea Market

I like vintage slips. I like bright colors. And I like anything hand dyed [in a bright color].

When I ran over to see this rack of vintage slips at the Alameda Flea Market last month, not only were these slips each unique in their own special way, I could tell they were made with love. Jordan of of Pure Vintage Clothing has got something special going on. She hand dyes cute vintage slips and puts them on the rack just for you. Visit her this Sunday at the Alameda Flea Market - she's on the right toward the front - and cheer with happiness as you set your eyes on this gaga slip sugar.

Check out her site here, or see her at the Alameda Flea Market the first Sunday of the month.

Atsuko Kudo: Latex is Not Just for Fetish

Today I stopped in a great little clothing/art store on Polk Street where they had a mini latex florescent orange beret. Yeah - you heard me. And you bet I tried it on. And you bet it was amazing. I came home and immediately looked up the designer: Atsuko Kudo.

I was told by the store owner that aside from the beret, Atsuko Kudo was mainly a fetish brand. But that couldn't be further from the truth. True, we all know that traditionally latex is used for fetish wear - but Atsuko Kudo uses latex in innovative and sophisticated ways. What you get is high-fashion, sexy, and truly adorable. Might be a little much to wear everyday (after all, latex is hot), but then again ... how about keeping this secret underneath your clothing all day?
Hot Hot Hot!

Also very well-known for her leggings:

Fashion Illustrator Naja Conrad-Hansen Likes Monkeys and Cupcakes

Copenhagen fashion illustrator Naja Conrad-Hansen's illustrations are light and airy yet incredibly impactful and mood-evoking. And I love her almost inconspicuous use of monkey's and cupcakes, and her use of color.
